Your account: the email address and password you sign up with. If you choose to add them, your profile details: recruiter type, name, title, company, a contact line and a signature block, plus how many records your Library shows.
What you work with: the notes you type, paste or dictate; anything else you enter for a draft, such as context, words to keep exactly and template fields; job descriptions, resumes and profiles you paste or upload; your custom templates; and the drafts DicT8 \r writes, with every version. A job description or resume pasted into a new draft is saved to your Jobs or Candidates list automatically, and you can delete it there.
Voice: the Record button uses your web browser's built-in speech recognition. DicT8 \r never receives or stores your audio, only the text that comes back. Depending on your browser, its maker may process the audio on its own servers under its own privacy terms.
Uploaded files: a file you upload is read on our server to pull out its text. The file itself isn't stored; only text you choose to keep is saved.
Usage: for each draft, we record which template was used and when, and we keep a running count of your drafts.
Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps server logs to run and fix the service. They can include small fragments of what you entered, such as a candidate's name or a short quote from a draft.
To sign you in, write your drafts, keep your Library, and run and fix the service. That's all. DicT8 \r doesn't sell or share your personal information, runs no advertising or analytics trackers, and doesn't use your content to train AI models.
Vercel hosts the site and runs our server.
Supabase stores your account, profile and saved work, and handles sign-in.
Anthropic writes your drafts and does short supporting tasks: checking the notes, naming a draft, reading the title or name from a job description or resume, and adding punctuation to dictation. It receives what each task needs, such as your notes, any documents you supplied and, for templates that sign off as you, your profile details. Anthropic's commercial terms say it may not train models on customer content from its services.
OpenAI is our backup. When Anthropic is unavailable or out of credit, the same request can be sent to OpenAI instead. Requirement Match never switches to the backup.
There's nothing to pay for at present, so no payment details are collected.
You'll often enter details about other people: candidates, hiring managers, interviewers, references and others. You must have the right to provide that information. DicT8 \r processes it only to produce your drafts and keep your Library.
When you sign in, a sign-in cookie keeps you signed in. The public pages set no cookies.
Your browser also keeps a few settings on your device: your light or dark theme, your recent and favorite templates, and which of the app's interface lines you have already seen. While you're signed in, a working copy of the Workspace and Library, including your notes and the draft on screen, is kept in that browser tab so a reload doesn't lose your place. It's cleared when you sign out or close the tab.
DicT8 \r doesn't track you across other sites, so there's no cross-site tracking for these signals to opt you out of.
Your work is kept until you delete it. Deleting a record deletes every version of it, and its notes go too once no other record uses them. You can delete saved jobs, candidates and custom templates, and clear your profile details, at any time. A Requirement Match record merged into another one is kept, hidden, until your account is deleted.
To delete your account and everything in it, email privacy@dict8r.com. Your profile and usage records are kept until then. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for its standard log period.
Connections to DicT8 \r are encrypted, and each account can reach only its own records. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't promise that yours never will be breached.
DicT8 \r is a tool for recruiting work and isn't directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
When this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
